Preview Update 2


Update 2 for the Preview is now released!

A long time has passed since the last update but I was not idle. So this update is a big one.


What is new:

  • Dynamic landscape
    • The landscape is now flattened under buildings when they are constructed
  • Building and building module blueprints
    • Additional buildings or modules for buildings can now be unlocked with blueprints
    • Blueprints can be found from various sources (Loot, Vendors,...)
    • Similar to the Recipes introduced in Update 1
  • Saving
    • You can now save the game and automatic saves are done every few minutes (you can set the interval in the game options)
    • There are tons of things to consider when Saving because this game has a lot of interactions between buildings, NPCs and so on. So there are probably some bugs. Sorry for that
  • Tutorials
    • There are now tutorials to explain the core functionalities of the game.
    • They can be disabled in the game settings if you're annoyed by them ;-)
  • Climbing
    • There are now some surfaces that can be climbed. I hope this makes exploration more fun
  • Invasions
    • Invaders will now try to destroy buildings
    • Manage defender squads to defend the island at the town center
  • Sound
    • There are now some movement, ambient and combat sounds
    • There are a lot of sounds to come, however
  • UI Improvements
    • Mappable keybindings
    • Town overview widgets
    • More details for buildings
    • ...

  • Linux support
  • A bunch of other small improvements and features


What is planned:

  • Construction sites -> buildings should not just pop into existence
  • Improvement to environment interactions (i.E. smoother animations)
  • Improved NPCs and Invasions (Behavior, Names,...)
  • Ground conditions (fertility, density,...)
  • ...
